I am a Life Coach and Stress Management Practitioner and relish the opportunity to offer an invaluable service to support the pastoral services in schools. Stress is a massive issue for our young people and I can enable you to provide essential support to staff, and children suffering from stress allowing the school to do what it does best and focus on teaching the curriculum.
We know that pupils achieve their best when their emotional state is positive, when they are feeling confident, when their self esteem is high, when they feel calm and alert and when there is minimum classroom disruption.
The emotional resilience techniques I use make a significant contribution to these outcomes, that both children and teachers benefit from.
I am currently teaching Tapping to Year 6 pupils and teachers at Stopsley Community Primary School in Luton, Bedfordshire.
After their first session, one class reported that 85% of pupils felt better about the upcoming SATS!
I have worked in the area of Stress Management since 2012. The technique I use is EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). It is also known as ‘Tapping’ and I am an Advanced Level Practitioner. EFT is a non-invasive, evidence based technique that calms the nervous system when it gets triggered by anxiety producing situations, such as exams and bullying. It is very easy to use, and is highly effective. The children will gain a tool for life that will see them through their school years, and beyond.
Here is a video that explains what happened when EFT was introduced to students at a High School in Australia.
